It’s Okay To Feel Your Feelings

Not feeling too great? Me neither.

If you’re new here, my name is Shae and I’m your friendly cyberhood psychologist.

I’m here to let you know that if you’re sad, it’s okay. And it’s going to be okay. I think we can all agree that some days just suck. Such is life I keep telling myself, but it’s still rough.

I’m writing this now, after having a cry in the shower (don’t worry gar I’m fine) after a not so great day at the office. If I’m being honest, I needed the cry. I feel a lot better and if that’s something that works for you, there’s no shame in embracing it. Do what works for you obviously within reason- don’t go trashing your house or hurting anyone.

There’s nothing worse than holding in all those overwhelming feelings so let them out. Go for a run, call someone, hug a loved one or a pet. Do something that’s going to make you feel good.

Take a deep breath for 1…2…3. Hold it. Release for 1…..2….3…4…5. Nice job!

Tomorrow is a new day, let’s try again then, okay?
